Dr. Caceres

Dr. Luis Caceres was born and raised in Miami, Florida.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Honors from Florida International University. After receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree with Honors from Nova Southeastern University, he completed a traditional rotating internship at Palmetto General Hospital, where he was selected Chief Intern. He continued his training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital where he completed a three year residency program in Internal Medicine. In addition, he served one year as Chief Medical Resident at the University of Miami School of Medicine and was appointed to the faculty as an Instructor of Medicine. He remains on the volunteer faculty at the University as Associate Professor of Medicine and also works with students in the Physicians Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University.

Throughout his training, Dr. Caceres has received numerous awards and distinctions including the Morton and Mary Smith Achievement Award from Nova Southeastern University, the Senior Scholarship Award from the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, and the Chief Resident Award from the Florida Chapter of the American College of Physicans-American Society of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
